Electric Tracing Messages

Trace results may extend beyond the boundaries of the downloaded data. In that case, you are presented with a message in the Trace pane plus red warning markers in the map for each location that may be affected. The customer and device counts are appended with a plus (+) sign to indicate that the actual count could be higher than what's displayed.

If you have only online data for the current map, the following message displays:

To correct that, download an offline package that contains the data you want to trace.

If you click an area of the map that isn't near any traceable feature, the following message displays:

To correct that, be sure to click a traceable feature in the map.

If the feature you've clicked cannot be traced back to a source, the following message displays:

To correct that, download the data that contains the source for this trace.
