GDBM XI Organization

Geodatabase Manager (GDBM) XI is comprised of several different parts that act together to complete, monitor, and execute GDBM XI processes. Handlers are tools that execute in scheduled workflows within the program.

Operations

Operations, also referred to as controls, provide a simple way to view the status of schedules, plus the ability to start or stop them.

Schedules

Schedules dictate when a program runs by specifying start time and duration. They consist of several different programs.

Programs

Programs identify the handlers that should run, including where they should run. Programs are a group of handlers configured to run in a certain order. They are used to schedule automated processes that can run outside of working hours, throughout the week.

Handlers

Handlers, also referred to as action handlers, run on the utility network after another process has completed. A handler might validate network topology, update subnetworks, or send a confirmation email when the program has finished.
