Editor Maps Tab
GDBM XI needs operational maps configured so it can connect with your data, plus run post and reconcile processes on it. The Editor Maps tab is used for configuring your operational maps. In the left pane is a list of all your previously configured operational maps.
TIP: GDBM XI and Editor XI need to share the same map service for versioning to work properly.

Follow these steps for configuration to properly work with your data:
- Click the Add New
button to add a new operational map. This button automatically
navigates you to the Operational Maps tab of the Mapping plugin to
add a new operational map. - Type a useful Display Name and provide the published map
service URL. The URL in the image is just an example and not a working
map service.
TIP: Ensure that the URL points to a MapServer and not a FeatureServer. - Use the toggles to determine which XI series applications are allowed to access the map.
- Under Machine-to-Machine Authentication, type the Username
and Password for the ArcGIS Server/Portal for ArcGIS user credentials.
IMPORTANT: This is only required if your company is using the hosted Edge Service. If your company is using the on-site Edge Service, this credential is not required and you can leave these fields empty. If your company moves to a hosted Edge Service in the future, this credential is created at that future time, and you can revisit the Operational Maps tab to supply the credential. - Click Save.
- Click the back arrow at the top left of the Solution Center window to return to the Editor Maps tab.
