Settings Tab

When you open Geodatabase Manager (GDBM) XI in Solution Center, it defaults to opening on the Settings tab. This tab contains settings for how things are displayed in GDBM XI and how they are handled during scheduled events.

There are several toggles on the Settings tab that allow you to change how something is handled.

Toggles labeled Reopen Session If Conflicts and Abort Reconcile/Post If Conflicts on Reconcile work closely together in the ways described in the table below.

IMPORTANT: For all reconcile events, we strongly recommend that you schedule these outside normal business hours. Otherwise, Reconcile and Edit in Session Manager interfere with each other, resulting in a failure to properly complete events.

Toggle on Reopen Session If Conflicts

Toggle on Abort Reconcile/Post If Conflicts on Reconcile

Post: Will not attempt to post if conflicts are encountered during the pre-post reconcile. Session will be reopened. To place the version back in the post queue, reapprove the session. Do not resubmit via Post Logs.

IMPORTANT: Toggling both of these on is the recommended configuration for reopening a session.

Reconcile: Will not save the version if conflicts are encountered.

Toggle off Reopen Session If Conflicts

Toggle on Abort Reconcile/Post If Conflicts on Reconcile

Toggle on Reopen Session If Conflicts

Toggle off Abort Reconcile/Post If Conflicts on Reconcile

Post: Will not abort the post if conflicts are encountered on pre-post reconcile. If conflicts are encountered during the post process, posting will fail and the session will be reopened. If the version is posted (likely), conflicted edits will be posted to default.

IMPORTANT: Not a recommended configuration. Proceed with caution!

Enabling the Show Features Service URL in schedule entries displays the service URL for scheduled events on the Schedules tab, as shown below. Toggling it off removes the service URL from the view.

You can view abbreviations for the days of the week on the Schedules tab enabling the toggle Use Abbreviations for Day-of-Week.

The Webhook Secret field is required when initially configuring GDBM for your tenant to enable a clean save of your changes. When configured, the webhook is used by an action handler to validate that contents are coming from the GDBM XI service. The Webhook Secret value secures the message contents of the webhook.
