Measure the Internal PDU Temperature through the Infrared Window (Optional Kit)

  1. Check that the PDU is in normal operation.
  2. Open the infrared window cover in the indicated direction.
  3. Switch on the infrared scanner (not provided) to activate the camera. Set up the fundamental parameters according to the infrared scanner’s operation manual.
  4. Position the infrared scanner (not provided) towards the target area within the infrared window.
    Recommended areas for temperature measurement:

    • Incoming main input device area for cable termination of the PDU

    • Outgoing branch breaker area for cable termination of the PDU

  5. Capture and store a thermal image in the camera for each thermal scanning session.
    Acceptance criteria for temperature measurement:

    • The maximum temperature for cables with lug shall be within the range of 90-105 °C (194-221 °F).

  6. Download the thermal images to your computer and compile the report in the specified format.
