Setting up the digital input for external excitation

- Disconnect and lock out power. Use a properly rated voltage sensing device to confirm power is off.
- Remove any anti-tamper sealing devices located at the meter’s base.
- Rotate plastic cover ¼ turn counter-clockwise and pull cover off. The excitation pins and jumpers are in a recessed cavity on the bottom left of the meter.
- Remove both jumpers and place one jumper on pins 2 and 3 of the four-pin header. Keep the second jumper for future use.
- Replace the plastic cover and
any anti-tamper sealing.
Onboard digital input internal excitation is now disabled; an external supply can be used for external contacts. See the specifications table, “Onboard I/O” for details.
