Prepare the UPS for Top Cable Entry

Do not drill or punch holes with the gland plates installed
and do not drill or punch holes in close proximity to the cabinet.
Failure to follow these instructions will result in death or serious injury.

- Prepare for power cables:
- Remove the gland plate from the top of the UPS.
- Drill/punch holes for power cables or glands/grommets in the gland plate. Install glands/grommets (not provided), if applicable.
- Reinstall the gland plate.
- Remove the front inner cover(s) from the UPS.
UPS with One Internal Switch
UPS with Four Internal Switches
- Remove the rear panel from the UPS.
Rear View
- Remove the signal cable covers from the top of the UPS.
- Perform one of the following:
- Install the provided cable brush plugs from the hardware kit,
OR
- Drill holes in the signal cable covers. Install glands/grommets
(not provided) if applicable. Reinstall the signal cable covers.
- Install the provided cable brush plugs from the hardware kit,
OR
- Remove the cover from the signal connection terminals.
- Route the signal cables as shown to separate the Class 2/SELV cables from the non-Class 2/non-SELV cables.NOTE: For more information about the locations of Class 2/SELV and non-Class 2/non-SELV cables, see Connect the Signal Cables.
