Welcome to the ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine Using Guide.

Here are some tips to help you find relevant information fast:

  • Topics are organized thematically in the Table of Contents along the left-hand side. Expand topics to reveal subtopics.

  • Use the Search field to type keywords you’re looking for. The Search defaults to querying within the current guide, but it also gives you the chance to query the entire catalog of guides. Further, it allows you to filter by product, guide type, and version. Enter your search terms to get started.

  • While reading a topic, press the down key to scroll down through the topic, press the right key to move to the next topic in the Table of Contents, and press the left key to move to the previous topic in the Table of Contents.

  1. I can't find ArcFM Viewer when I open ArcMap. Where can I locate it?

    1. ArcFM Viewer runs independent of ArcMap, so it is not opened through ArcMap (like ArcFM). Instead, you can select ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine from the ArcFM Solution folder on the Start Menu.

  2. Why can't I edit custom classes feature classes in ArcFM Viewer for ArcGIS Engine ?

    1. Relationship classes, feature-linked annotation, dimension feature classes, and custom feature classes require a Geodatabase Update Extension license from Esri in order to edit them. You will need to request that license from Esri .
