Equipment Model Topology — Balanced Equipment

In the balanced model, each device and line feature, such as a conductor, can represent up to three different phase-specific components of similar function. We refer to the feature as a bank. In balanced equipment, it is assumed that the units are identical or that the difference between the unit data is not needed to be defined in the GIS.

Recommended Configuration

• The bank is represented by the ElectricDevice feature.

• Set the TerminalConfiguration field value on the device(bank) record to All.

• If units are desired in a balanced network use the network category of E:Has Disconnected Units.

• If units are not used, define any unit attributes on the ElectricDevice feature.
