Pole Top Assemblies

Modeling pole attachments is useful for joint-use management, structural analysis, and structural support across a subnetwork. A pole top assembly represents a collection of features used to attach things to a pole, such as cross-arms, anchors, insulators, and more. Electric/Joint Use Attachments represent a point of connection on a line to a structure.

Modeling attachments requires two sets of features:

  • Junction attachments placed on linear features.

  • Structure junction object and pole top assemblies structurally associated to the junction attachment and parent pole.

Required Configuration for Non-Spatial Objects

  • Needs to be stored in the structure junction object table.

  • Needs a structural attachment association to the attached pole and any junction attachments.

Required Configuration for Spatial Objects

  • Needs to be stored in the junction table of the electric or other domains.

  • Needs a structural attachment to attached pole or pole top assembly.
