Resetting the Circuit Breaker After a Trip Due to an Incident Detected by the MicroLogic X Self-tests

Reset Sequence

The following table shows the sequence of actions to take after a trip due to an incident detected by the MicroLogic X control unit. Further explanation of each action is given in the following paragraphs.

Identify the trip cause.

Press OK to view details of the trip cause on the display screen:

  • A code that identifies the trip cause.

  • A trip message describing the cause of the incident.

  • The date and time that the incident occurred.

Consult the list of possible detected incidents and perform the actions recommended to restart after the trip.

Press OK to acknowledge the trip and return to the Home menu.

Reset the circuit breaker.

Press the Test/Reset button for 3 seconds to reset the latched events and switch off the trip cause LEDs and the service LED.

When the circuit breaker is ready to close, re-close it.

NOTE: The malfunction trips or does not trip the circuit breaker, depending on the malfunction detected.

The control unit self test detected the disconnection of an internal sensor of the circuit breaker.

Plan to replace the MicroLogic X control unit.

External neutral current sensor disconnected

The control unit self-test detected the disconnection of the external neutral current sensor of the circuit breaker.

Check connection of the External Neutral Current Sensor (ENCT).

Self diagnostic trip

The circuit breaker tripped following a control unit microprocessor (Asic) invalid result.

Plan to replace the MicroLogic X control unit.

Replace Circuit Breaker. Self Diagnostic

The circuit breaker tripped following a major malfunction of one or two internal current power supply sensors of the circuit breaker.

Replace the circuit breaker.
