Transformer Banks and Units
A transformer feature in the device feature class in the electric domain network represents a bank of up to three single-phase transformer units.
Required Configuration
-
The E:Has Connected Units network category is used to distinguish between a bank type transformer and a transformer without units.
-
Both in-line and tapped transformers must have two terminals.
-
User must set up a terminal configuration in the network properties that is directional and then apply this terminal configuration to the asset group and asset types that are in-line and tapped transformers.
-
Set the TerminalConfiguration attribute to None for in-line and tapped transformers that are bank devices, E:Has Connected Units.
-
Set the TerminalConfiguration attribute to All for in-line and tapped transformers that contain units that do not participate in connectivity, E:Has Disconnected Units.
-
Set the TerminalConfiguration attribute to All for in-line and tapped transformers that do not contain units.
-
When using units:
-
The units of a transformer bank are stored in the JunctionObject table in the electric domain network.
-
Each unit is contained by the bank feature with a containment association in the UN.
-
Each unit is connected directly across two of the transformer’s terminals to represent the voltage transformation function between the terminals.
-
Each unit carries a single named phase in its PhasesNormal attribute.
-
In the case of a symmetrical three-phase transformer bank, the bank may contain a single unit that represents all three phases (ABC).
