View Markup Layers

Upon logging in to the Markup tools, markup layers should appear in your map. However, if your organization uses a ArcGIS for Portal-federated server for markup, you have to first log in to Portal. Follow the instructions below to do so:

1. Connect to the desired ArcGIS Server.

2. If your organization uses OAuth2 for Portal authentication, you must log in to the portal via File > Sign In. Specify a user that has permissions to the federated markup map service. If you aren’t certain if the user has the required permissions, check with your system administrator.

   TIP: If your organization uses IWA for authentication, you are automatically signed in with Single Sign-On, but you should ensure the user has permissions to the federated ArcGIS Server markup feature service.

3. If you’re already logged in to the Markup tools, add the Markup Feature Service to the map.
