Mapping

The Mapping subtab allows you to map Esri groups to Schneider Electric roles. Upon logging into Solution Center and clicking the Client Configuration plugin, the Esri groups are brought into the interface. At that point, you can perform various mappings. The Mapping subtab has three mapping choices: Role, Tenant Role, and Tenant.

Role

For example, you may want to map the Esri group “Electric Designers” to its Designer XI end users. That name is mapped to the SE Role “Designer.ElectricDesigner.”

To map an Esri group to an SE role, follow these steps:

1. Click Role.

2. Click Add New Mapping.

3. Type the Esri group name in the role field.

4. Click the Edit button to map the Esri role to the SE role. Repeat these steps based on the roles you need to map.

5. Click Save.

Tenant Role

Tenant Role mapping accomplishes two main things:

• It populates the Multiple Tenant Drop-Down list.

• It allows for tenants to receive a tenant migration snapshot (if the XI series app, such as Designer XI, supports tenant migration). In other words, when you import assets from a snapshot into a tenant, the Tenant ID drop-down is populated.

To perform Tenant Role mapping, follow these steps:

1. Click Tenant Role. Notice you already have at least one mapping, and you can use it as a guide for additional mappings.

   

2. Click Add Tenant Mapping.

3. Type the Portal Group Name in the role field.

   IMPORTANT:

   • The Portal Group Name was established when you provisioned your tenant.

   • The name you type in the role field must exactly match the Portal Group Name, including spaces and capitalization.

4. Click the Edit button to map the Portal Group Name (client role) to the Tenant ID.

5. Repeat, if necessary, to map additional Portal Group Names to Tenant IDs.

6. Click Save.

Tenant

Tenant mapping allows a user to login to a tenant no matter what group memberships they have. This is helpful if a tenant has a separate Portal for ArcGIS set up per tenant type (Dev, Prod, Test, etc.)

To map the tenant for all roles, follow these steps:

1. Click Tenant. Notice the other tenants at your company are listed.

2. Toggle on the tenants that you want to provide to users regardless of their group membership.

3. Click Save.
