Unassign Crew

Available in Responder Explorer.

A crew that has been assigned to an incident can be unassigned. For example, when a crew is assigned and dispatched to an incident, the crew members may find that the device is working properly. In such cases the crew can be unassigned and the incident can be closed because no work needs to be done.

  1. Expand an incident in the Incidents tab. You can unassign a crew by right-clicking the crew, the incident device, hazard, or location feature, and then selecting Unassign Crew.
  2. If you have selected a device, feature, or hazard with more than one crew assigned, you are prompted to select one.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the crew(s) that you want to unassign, and then click OK.

The crew(s) are removed from the incident. If no other crews remain, the incident's status changes to Unassigned. If an incident has two crews assigned and the user unassigns the lead crew, Responder turns the remaining crew into the lead crew.
