Manual Configuration

If you want to configure your devices manually, follow these steps:

  1. Access Settings:

    • Click located on the right side of the device line. This will open the Configuration dialog where you need to set up the parameters for configuring the devices.

  2. Name your device:

    • Give your device a unique name.

  3. Organize devices:

    • To organize your devices into rooms or areas, use a Location parameter.

      NOTE: Before starting the configuration, ensure the device´s location (room) is set in the Touch application.
      You can create a location as follows:

      • Type the location name into the Location field and press Enter.

      • Alternatively, select the device location from the drop-down Location menu.

  4. Enable automatic firmware update:

    • Enabling automatic firmware updates is recommended. This ensures that your devices always have the latest firmware, which can include important security patches, performance improvements, and new features. Keeping your firmware up-to-date helps maintain your devices´ reliability and security.

  5. Map ZigBee attributes to KNX group objects:

    • You can use the already created group objects to control both ZigBee and KNX devices together by selecting KNX objects from a drop-down menu for each ZigBee attribute.

    • You can also create new KNX objects. For detailed steps on creating new objects, refer to the chapter Create New Object.


    NOTE: Battery-powered devices: If you map KNX objects to ZigBee attributes Low battery detected and Battery level, you can use those in Touch visualization. The device widget will show the battery level, and you can receive battery status notifications.
  6. Generate widgets:

    • Click Generate in Touch option to generate widgets in the Touch visualization to control your ZigBee devices.
