Automatic Configuration of HVAC

The automatic configuration feature is beneficial when setting up HVAC systems. In such cases, the Hybrid plugin not only assigns the appropriate group objects but also links HVAC devices together to ensure the HVAC system works properly.

What it does:

• Assigns the correct group objects to HVAC devices.

• Automatically links the devices to create a functional HVAC system.

• Creates a widget for the thermostat in the Touch visualization with linked iTRV´s.

Supported devices

Automatic HVAC configuration supports the following devices:

• iTRV radiator valves

• 16 Amp relay switches

• TCFMT thermostats (2 A or 16 A versions)

• Battery-powered thermostats (CCTFR6100)

When these devices are placed in the same room, the system assigns group objects to them to link them together.

Group object assignment

• iTRV valves and 16 Amp relays each receive two group objects from the thermostat:

  • Remote temperature value

  • Occupied heating setpoint control

Widget creation

• A widget is automatically created only for the thermostat.
  

• To view linked actuators:

  1. Click the thermostat widget in Touch Config.

  2. In the Settings dialog under the General tab, you will see all actuators linked to the thermostat.

Monitoring battery and device status of linked devices

• In the Touch, click in the bottom-right corner of the thermostat widget.
  

• You can:

  • Hover over the device icon to see the device name and battery level as a percentage.

  • Check the actuator status: On = Valve is open / Relay is active.
