Add Model Names

If the Responder Object Class Model Name and Responder Field Model Name domains do not exist, you need to add them using ArcCatalog. ArcMap must be closed before adding a domain to ArcCatalog. You can name these domains anything you'd like. If these domains already exist in your geodatabase, skip to the next set of steps at the bottom of this page.

1. In ArcCatalog, right-click the geodatabase and select Properties.

2. Select the Domains tab and scroll to the bottom.

3. Select the empty row and type the name of your Responder class model name domain (e.g., Responder Object Class Model Name) into the Domain Name column.

4. Provide a description (optional).

5. Ensure that the Field Type is Text in the Domain Properties. The Domain Type must be Coded Values.

6. Click Apply.

7. Repeat steps 3-6 to create a domain for your Responder field model names (e.g., Responder Field Model Name).

8. These new domains must be added to the Object Class Model Name Domain and the Field Model Name Domain.

9. In the Properties window (Domains tab), select the Object Class Model Name Domain and scroll to the bottom of the Coded Values field.

10. Add the name of the Responder object class model name domain that you just created (e.g., Responder Object Class Model Name). Type a description and ensure the Field Type is Text.

    

11. Next, select the Field Model Name Domain.

12. Add the name of the Responder field model name domain that you just created (e.g., Responder Field Model Name). Type a description and ensure the Field Type is Text.

13. Click Apply to save changes and OK to dismiss the dialog.

Next, add class model names and field model names to the Responder domains you just created.

1. In ArcCatalog, right-click the geodatabase and select Properties.

2. Select the Domains tab.

3. Select the Responder Object Class Model Name Domain.

4. With the Responder Object Class Model Name domain selected, type the following model names in the Coded Values table:

   • FDRMGRLOADPOINT

   • RXFACILITY

   • RXHAZARD

   • RXINCIDENTDEVICE

   • RXINCIDENTFEATURE

   • RXLINEDISPLAY (optional)

   • RXJUMPERS (optional)

   • RXREGION

   • RXSWITCHABLEDEVICE

   • RXUSERDEFINED

5. Select the Responder Field Model Name domain and type the following field model names in the Coded Values table:

   • FDRMGRGANGOPERATED

   • RXCONDUCTORFCID (optional)

   • RXFEEDERID (optional)

   • RXPHASE

   • RXREGIONNAME

   • RXREGIONPARENT1 (optional)

   • RXREGIONPARENT2 (optional)

   • RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEFCID (optional)

   • RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEOID (optional)

   • RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICESUBID (optional)

   • RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEX (optional)

   • RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEY (optional)

   RXREGIONPARENT1 and RXREGIONPARENT2 are optional model names used only to configure the Regions functionality to have Region parents.

   The RXCOUNTY model name is optional and is used to determine county polygons that are part of the government dashboard.

   The following optional model names are used to display de-energized feeders on the map:

   RXLINEDISPLAY, RXCONDUCTORFCID, RXFEEDERID, RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEFCID, RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEOID, RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICESUBID, RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEX, and RXRESPONSIBLEDEVICEY

   The RXJUMPERS model name is used for displaying Jumpers on the map and is also optional.

6. Click OK.
