Modify Domain Values
You may modify the domain values displayed in Responder Explorer drop-downs using the DatabaseSchemaConfig.xml file.
In the example below, "Tidal Wave" was added to the list of options in the Weather field on the Edit Incident tab. Changes to DatabaseSchemaConfig.xml do not go into effect until DataServices.exe has been restarted. To use a different value other than one provided in the domain by default, we recommend creating a new value (see note) and deleting the existing value.
Before modifying domain values:
<Domain Name="WEATHER" xsi:type="CodedDomainConfig" DataType="Int32">
<DomainPair Value="0" Description="<Unknown>" />
<DomainPair Value="1" Description="Hurricane" />
<DomainPair Value="2" Description="Ice Storm" />
<DomainPair Value="3" Description="Other" />
<DomainPair Value="4" Description="Snow Storm" />
<DomainPair Value="5" Description="Thunderstorm" />
<DomainPair Value="100" Description="Tidal Wave" />
<DomainPair Value="6" Description="Tornado" />
<!-- Domain Values 7-99 are RESERVED FOR SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC USAGE!! -->
</Domain>
