Fiber Builder

Fiber Builder is your “one stop shop” for creating, managing, and using fiber favorites in one place. Fiber Builder has two main sections: Favorites and Locations.

Fiber Admins and Fiber Editors use the same Fiber Builder dialog for their needs.

• Fiber Admins are able to create and edit fiber favorites for the entire organization.

• Fiber Editors are able to sketch with fiber favorites, but they are not able to create new fiber favorites or edit existing fiber favorites.

The Favorites pane of Fiber Builder stores pre-saved fiber assets with relationships and core attributes.

The Locations pane of Fiber Builder lets you to drag and drop Favorites into existing fiber facilities. This means you can edit “the inside” of existing fiber facilities. For example, you can drag and drop a rack and patch panels from the Favorites into an existing patch location.
