Retrace

A great benefit of tracing in Fiber Manager XI is that you can run a new trace from the same location without having to start all over.

For example, after tracing a particular port or fiber, you can quickly change to a different port or fiber at the same location and run the trace again. Or, if you forgot to include distance or wavelength, you can add those factors and retrace with a single click.

After running a trace:

1. Click the Options tab.

2. Perform any of these changes:

   • Type a Wavelength.

   • Type a Distance.

   • Change the port or fiber.

     

3. Click the Retrace tool. The application displays new results.

4. If necessary, click the Zoom to Extent tool to see the trace path in the map, start to end.

5. When finished looking at the trace results, click the Clear Trace tool.
