Other Editing Tasks
After selecting your fiber facilities, you can delete or copy part of the facility. If the fiber facility has one too many patch panels or buffer tubes, you can delete them in Fiber Builder. You can right-click and choose Delete Node, or press the Delete key. In both cases, you can apply or discard those changes. If a favorite doesn’t have what you want, but another existing fiber facility does, you can copy fiber assets from one facility and into another.
-
Using the Fiber Builder Select tool, select both fiber facilities.
-
Expand the fiber facilities until you find the fiber object you want to copy.
-
Click and drag the fiber object from one facility and into the other.
-
Click Apply.
This completes the actions within the Fiber Builder, but most likely, you need to update attributes further to reflect the changes in the fiber facility.
-
With the fiber facility still selected on the map, on the Main Tool Ribbon > Edit tab > Selection tool group, click Attributes.
-
The Attributes pane opens.
-
Update the attributes for the fiber asset as necessary.
-
Click Apply and save your session.
