Splitters Properties

Splitters

Output Port Count (required)

Number of output ports.

Point Size (required)

Assign a point value to a component based on physical size. With a consistent point value system you will be able to determine how much equipment can fit inside an enclosure. For example, if you have a pedestal rated to hold 30 points worth of components, then you can situate three 2-port taps rated at 10 points each into the box. A fourth 2-port tap would total 40 points, exceeding the rated 30 points of the pedestal.

Is Balanced (default: selected)

Select this checkbox to denote that a port is balanced. If there are two ports, you cannot deselect this checkbox.

Is Internal

Select this checkbox to denote that the splitter is internal to a component.

Is Jumper

Select this checkbox to denote that the splitter is flagged as a jumper. A jumper can only be internal and have only one output port. When this checkbox is selected, the Output Port Count is automatically set to 1, and the Is Balanced checkbox is checked. Assign a point value to a component based on physical size. With a consistent point value system you will be able to determine how much equipment can fit inside an enclosure.
