Plugins
Certain components require plugins, which are defined as additional devices built into the main component. These plugins are added on the components’ attribute page.
To add a plugin, follow these steps:
-
In Solution Center, on the Components tab, click the drop-down to select the component type that requires a plugin.
-
Choose the component along the left-hand side of the interface.
-
Click the Plugins button (for inline equalizers [LEQ/RC], it is named the Return Plugins button).
-
At the top of the Plugins interface, choose the appropriate plugin type. The list of plugins is filtered depending on which component you are working with. For example, a conditioning tap can be coupled with the following plugins:
While an inline equalizer (LEQ/RC) can only be coupled with attenuators:
TIP: Don’t see the plugins along the top? Your dialog is likely too small and is cropping off the plugin types. You can’t resize the Plugins dialog, but you can re-size Solution Center. Click and drag the corner of the Solution Center interface to make it larger. -
Use the Search field to find the appropriate plugin.
TIP: To see the entire list of plugins for that type, click within the Search field, then press Enter. This displays all the plugins in the DHFC catalog for that type. -
Click the plugin once to highlight it, then press the Add Item button.
-
Continue to search and add items, as necessary.
-
As a recommended step, choose one plugin from the list to be the default. Click the plugin to highlight it in green, then click Make Default. If no default is configured, the application uses whatever plugin is first in the list.
-
When finished, click OK to close the Plugins dialog.
-
Back on the attribute page for the component, the number by the Plugins button indicates the number of plugins that belong to that component.
-
Click Validate & Save.
