Installing the Surge Arresters

Ensure to remove the surge arrester assembly in order
to access the cable compartment from the front.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in injury or equipment damage.

Follow the below steps to assemble the surge arrester:

Install the surge arrester (3) to the support channel (1) with a U nut (2)
(Figure 54). -
Connect the surge arrester terminal (4) to the Fixed VT connection copper
bar (5). -
Insert the plastic bolt (8) along with screw (6) , washer (7) and nut (9).

Install the insulation cover (10).
- For standard torque values, refer to Standard Tightening Torques and comply with the specified torque values.
