Circuits

The Circuits tab in Solution Center provides validation that you have all the Circuit Relationships in place. If necessary, expand each circuit to see the relationship properties.

IMPORTANT: To validate the relationships, your map service must be published and configured in Solution Center.

  1. In Solution Center > Fiber Manager > Feature Services > Fiber Manager, click Circuits.

  2. Under Relationships, expand each one. Green check marks indicate a successful validation.

Circuit Relationships

A connectable object is any fiber asset that can be viewed or edited in the Fiber Connections pane and requires a relationship with the Circuit table. The Connection table also requires a relationship with the Circuit table. This means any time a fiber is allocated to a circuit, an entry is made in the Circuits table.

If you are using the Fiber Manager XI data model, these objects already have a circuit relationship.

In these relationships, the Circuit table is always the Origin (parent). The connectable objects and the Connections table are the Destination (child). To verify or change these relationships, use the Create Relationship Class tool.

All circuit relationships follow the same configuration pattern.

Output Relationship Class

This is where the relationship is named and saved. The default name, is a combination of the Origin and Destination raw table names. You can accept the default name, but for consistency and ease for administrators, we recommend “Circuit” and the name of the child object separated by an underscore (for example, Circuit_Strand).
