Stage the Utility Network

When the database user is logged in, they can now Stage the Utility Network. This tool uses the asset package to create the required network structures in your enterprise geodatabase.

To create the UN:

1. In the Geoprocessing pane, search for and open Stage Utility Network.

2. Drag the enterprise database file from the Catalog window to the Target Geodatabase field.

3. Drag the extracted asset package folder, example: FiberXI_SP1_Data_Model.gdb under Databases in the Catalog pane.

   NOTE: This can be the downloaded package file or the file that was exported from the file geodatabase work.

4. In the same catalog window, under Utility Network, locate the ServiceTerritory file. Click and drag the file to the Service Territory Feature Class field.

   

5. Enter the Feature Dataset Name.

   We recommend FiberNetwork.

6. Enter the Utility Network Name.

   We recommend Fiber.

7. Under Utility Network Version, select Current and click Run.

   

When the tool is done, refresh the databases and you should see the enterprise geodatabase now contains the basic components of the UN.
