Configure the Structure Domain Network

A structure network is the hardware, such as ducts, conduits, and structure facilities, that supports all the communication lines. When you create a Utility Network (UN), a structure network is automatically created with predefined feature classes and tables.

IMPORTANT: The configuration settings on this page match the Fiber Manager XI data model.

To configure the Structure Domain:

  1. From the home screen in Solution Center, click Editor > Editor Maps.

  2. Select your operational map from the list.

  3. Under Select a Domain Network to configure, select Structure.

  4. On the Structure Setting tab, use these settings for the Fields:

    1. Next to DuctDiameterUnits, select Inches.

    2. Next to MapUnits, select Feet.

    3. Next to MaxDucts, select zero.

  5. On the Structure Field Names tab, use these settings for the Fields:

    1. Next to Available, select isavailable.

    2. Next to ConduitFacilityId, select assetid.

    3. Next to DuctBankGuid, select ductbankguid.

    4. Next to DuctDiameter, select diameter.

    5. Next to DuctEndGuid, select ductendguid.

    6. Next to DuctEndShape, select ductcrosssectionshape.

    7. Next to DuctFlagLabelText, select notes.

    8. Next to DuctFlagOutlineld, select ductflagoutlineid.

    9. Next to DuctFlagRotation, select ductflagrotation.

    10. Next to DuctFlagScale, select ductflagscale.

    11. Next to Ductid, select ductid.

    12. Next to DuctOccupantDescription. select occupantdescription.

    13. Next to LeaderLineAttachPoint, select leaderlineattachmentpoint.

    14. Next to Material, select material.

    15. Next to NumberOfAvailableDucts, select numavailableducts.

    16. Next to Occupied, select isoccupied.

    17. Next to StructureAddress, select notes.

    18. Next to Structure Facility Id, select assetid.

    19. Next to WallHeight, select depth.

  6. For the Send to Targets — Fields to Reset tab, Feature Class is the only section that needs to be configured.

    1. Under Feature Class > StructureBoundary, click all options under Fields to Reset except Install Date, isavailable, and isoccupied.

    2. Under Feature Class > StructureLine, click all options under Fields to Reset except Asset ID, depth, Design Type, diameter, Diameter Width, and distance.

    3. Under Feature Class > StructureJunction, click all options under Fields to Reset.

  7. Click Save.
