Add Operational Map to Solution Center
Now that you have a published feature service, the feature’s URL and server access is added to Solution Center in the form of an operational map. This map lets you make configuration changes to the map layer assets of the feature service to successfully implement Fiber Manager XI.
To create an operational map:
-
In Solution Center, click Mapping. The Operational Maps tab opens.
NOTE: Operational Maps include published feature services and reference maps used by all XI series applications. -
Type a name in the Display Name field. This name appears throughout the other XI series application plugins, so we recommend a short, descriptive name easily identifiable by other administrators and users.
-
From ArcGIS Server Manager, copy the map server URL of the published feature service.
You can quickly find your map’s URL under the Mapping Configuration heading in the ArcGIS Server Manager Capabilities section.
-
In the URL field, paste the published map server URL.
-
Enable the toggle next to Editor. This toggle enables the map service for both Fiber Manager XI and Editor XI.
-
Under Machine-to-machine authentication, type the User Name and Password for the ArcGIS Portal user credential and click Save.
-
After the map is added, click the map name from the left hand side.
-
Click the Access Control tab and copy the Operational Map Id. Paste the value to a text editor so you can use it to configure the Fiber Manager SOE, the Autoupdater SOI in ArcGIS Server, and the Autoupdaters in Solution Center.
