Configure the Communication Domain Network
A communications network is the equipment that enables optical communication, such as cables, splice points, and patch panels.
To configure the Communications (Fiber) Domain:

In Solution Center, click Editor > Editor Maps.

Select your operational map from the menu.

Under Select a Domain Network to configure, choose Communications (Unconfigured) from the menu. Since this domain network has not been configured, click the Fiber option.

From the left hand menu, click Fiber Settings.

Next to FiberDistributionTierName, select Fiber.

Next to TrimAndConnectRadiusMapUnits, type 1.25 (this is a recommended setting to begin with, and you can change it later after getting used to the application).

Click Fiber Field Names.

For FacilityId, choose
assetid

For StructureFacilityId, choose
assetid
.Markup-to-GIS Shema Mapping is not used at this time.

For the Send to Targets — Fields to Reset tab, Feature Class is the only section that needs to be configured. You can skip Non-spatial Object and Table.

Under Feature Class > Assembly, click all options under Fields to Reset except Symbol Rotation.

Under Feature Class > Device, click all options under Fields to Reset except Angular placement of antenna, Antenna Full Power Beamwidth, and Asset ID.

Under Feature Class > Line, click all options under Fields to Reset except Asset ID, Cable Name, Diameter, ENDINGCABLELENGTHMARKING, ESTSMATTENUATION1310, ESTSMATTENUATION1550, Fiber Count, FIBERCHILDCLASSMODELNAME, FIBERPARENT, and FIBERPARENTCLASSMODELNAME.

Click Save and move to the ArcGIS server object configurations.
