Import Configuration

With your published map service now established in Solution Center, you must import a Fiber Manager XI configuration file. This file populates all the feature service settings in Solution Center to match the Fiber Manager XI data model. This step is a huge time saver, as it completes most of the Solution Center configurations in a single import.

To import the settings:

  1. Log in to Solution Center and click the Fiber Manager plugin.

  2. On the Feature Services tab, select your map service from the menu. This is the service you previously added to the Mapping plugin.

  3. On the left side, click Import/Export. The Import Config tab is selected by default.

  4. Enter the Database Full Schema Name. To get the name, follow these steps:

    1. In ArcGIS Server Manager, click the Services tab > [your service name] > Capabilities > REST URL.

    2. Scroll to the bottom of the REST URL, then click FiberXIRestXOE > featureServiceInfo > JSON drop-down > GET button.

    3. Toward the top of the result, look for a line (or search for it) called “TableName”. The Database Full Schema Name you are looking for is appended to the beginning of the table names. Example: “TableName”:”SEFiber.ArcFM.CommunicationsLine,” has the Database Full Schema Name is SEFiber.ArcFM.

  5. Next to the File field, click browse. Navigate to the configuration file and click Import. Use one of the following files as the source.

    1. The default Fiber Manager XI configuration file from the Data Model and Sample Data page.

    2. A configuration file you may have exported from another environment.

See Export the ArcFM Fiber Manager XI Configuration for more information.

    3. An existing XML file created from the Fiber Manager 10.x Export Tool from the installers page.

See the Export ArcFM Fiber Manager 10.x Schema topic for more information.

  6. As the system imports the file, a validation is performed. Alerts are seen if there are differences between the existing data schema and the imported configuration file.
