Configure the Fiber Manager SOE

Server object extensions(SOEs) allow you to create new service operations to extend the capabilities of your GIS server. After the SOE is installed, you configure it as a Capability on the Fiber Manager XI map service.

NOTE: If any SOE parameters are changed, you must restart the feature service for the changes to take effect.

To configure the SOE:

  1. At the top of ArcGIS Server Manager, click Services. The Manage Services tab is selected.

  2. Scroll down to your listed map service and click the name. The Edit window opens.

  3. On the left-hand side, click Capabilities.

  4. Under the Select and Configure Capabilities heading, check the box next to FiberXIRestSOE. Then, click the text.

  5. Scroll down to the Properties heading. Use the table as a guide to populate the values. You can get the layers’ and tables’ ID numbers from the published feature service URL.
