Import the Asset Package

Every implementation must begin with the ArcFM Fiber Manager XI data model, whether a new implementation or migration from Fiber Manager 10.x. Fiber Manager XI functions out-of-the-box with this data model, paired with a default configuration that will be imported later in the implementation.

1. From the ArcFM Fiber Manager Data Model and Sample Data page, download the asset package.

2. Unzip this file to an easily accessible location.

   NOTE: When extracted, a folder is created with the same name as the downloaded file. The sample data files are inside this folder.

3. Open ArcGIS Pro and log in with your Portal for ArcGIS account.

4. Under New Project, click Map.

   

5. Enter a name for your project, select where to save it, then click OK.

6. Open the Catalog pane and right click Databases and select Add Database.

7. In the Select Existing Geodatabase window, browse to where the unzipped asset package folder is located and click the GDB file.

   Example: C:\ArcGIS\FiberXI_SP1_Data_Model\FiberXI_SP1_Data_Model.gdb.

   The database listing is now populated and organized with the extracted files.
