Service Regions

The Service Regions tab allows you to set the prediction mode by region. Select a region from the tree on the left. If you select a region group, all regions in that group are impacted. From the Mode field, select the mode to assign to that region. Specific mode information is determined during configuration and cannot be edited on this page.

  • Primary Mode: This field displays the mode for the region (including any subregions). If two or more regions within a group have different modes set, the group mode (or Primary Mode) is Mixed Mode.

  • Current Mode: This field displays the current prediction mode for the selected region. If Auto Change is enabled, the Current Mode cannot match the Primary Mode.

  • Is Auto Change Enabled: This section allows you to automatically set modes at specific times, similar to setting an alarm clock. Click Enable to turn on Auto Change. If Auto Change is disabled, the modes do not automatically change, even if they're set. Click List to view and edit existing mode changes or create new ones.

  • Mode: Select the mode to assign to the currently selected region. The fields below provide information about how the mode works. After choosing a mode, click Change Mode at the bottom of the form.

The following values are set during configuration and cannot be edited on the web browser.

  • Both Threshold Must Pass: This setting indicates whether both thresholds (Call and Immediate Child) must pass before prediction rolls the incident to a common upstream device.

  • Predict on Confirmed Incidents: When this setting is set to Yes, a prediction downstream of a fault that is out on less than all phases can open additional phases on the upstream device, even if the fault is confirmed. For example, when an A-phase outage on an AB device is confirmed, if enough B calls come in downstream, the B phases could be opened by prediction if this setting is set to Yes.

  • Probable State Candidate Elevation Time: After this amount of time, an Unconfirmed incident is elevated to Probable status.

  • Call Threshold Ranges: These ranges determine the number of calls that must be received before prediction rolls the incident to a common upstream device.

  • Immediate Child Threshold Range: These ranges determine the number of downstream devices that must be out before prediction rolls the incident to a common upstream device.
