Responder User Roles

Available in Responder Web Browser.

Responder provides default user roles. These roles can be assigned to a user to grant that user permission to perform specific tasks in Responder. An Administrator can create new roles or modify permissions for existing roles. This section focuses on how the default roles are defined.

TIP: Users can be assigned to more than one role.

Administrator has access to:

  • Dashboard

  • Map Viewer

  • Dispatchers

  • Switch Order

  • Administration

  • Settings

Archiver has access to:

  • Dashboard

  • Settings

  • Reports

  • This role also provides access to the data stored in the Archive tables and visible in Archive Explorer.

Customer Service has access to:

  • Dashboard

  • Customer Service

  • Settings

Dispatcher has access to:

  • Dashboard

  • Map Viewer

  • Settings

SO Requestor has access to:

  • Dashboard

  • Switch Order

  • Settings

Senior Dispatcher has access to:

  • Dashboard

  • Dispatchers

  • Settings

  • This role also has access to Incident Review and Long Term Device functionality.
