Maximum Allowable Pulling Tension with a Pulling Eye

The equation below calculates the maximum pulling tension if a pulling eye is attached to the conductor.

IMPORTANT: Do not exceed this amount.

Tmax = KA

Where:

Tmax = Maximum pulling tension (lb)

K = 10,000 PSI for copper; 7,500 PSI for aluminum

A = Area of conductor (sq in)
