Demand Info
Demand from the customer is the load at receiving terminals averaged over a specific time. Industrial and commercial customers can be billed for having sufficient power available. This demand charge is measured in kVA and is over and above the charge for kWh. A power factor charge may also be billed to large customers to offset the necessity of having to provide reactive power to serve large motor loads.
