Overview of the DHFC Environment
The core architecture of DHFC comprises a connected series of applications that work in unison to provide an editing experience outside of ArcGIS Desktop. There are five main components:
-
The Geodatabase
-
This holds the geospatial data and is the final system of record for coax features.
-
-
ArcGIS Server
-
This is the intermediary application between the Geodatabase and the DHFC Client Application that provides DHFC access to the geospatial data.
-
-
The DHFC Catalog Service
-
This provides the DHFC Client Application required (non-GIS specific) configurations such as specs, groupings, and project files. It is managed in Solution Center.
-
-
The Solution Center DHFC Plugin
-
This is the configuration hub for components, groupings, project files, and the client application itself.
-
-
The DHFC Client Application
-
This is the actual desktop application where the user performs design work
