User Management and Roles

There are four DHFC roles (for convenience, a summary of each role’s capabilities is provided below; for more detailed information, see the myArcFM topic ArcFM Solution XI Series Named User Functionality Matrix).

  • Admin

    • Can view all the DHFC configuration tabs (Project Files, Groupings, Components, Mapping, Application Settings, and Schema).

    • Can make edits within all configuration tabs.

  • Spec Editor

    • Can view the spec-related configuration tabs (Project Files, Groupings, and Components).

    • Can make edits within spec-related configuration tabs (Project Files, Groupings, and Components).

  • Spec Viewer

    • Can view all the spec-related configuration tabs (Project Files, Groupings, and Components).

    • Cannot make any edits within any configuration tabs.

  • Designer

    • This is the role to access the DHFC client application. It has no privileges within Solution Center.

In Solution Center, you can view the current license availability and usage by role.

  1. To get started, in Solution Center click User Management.

  2. Click the DHFC tab.

  3. Click on the Licenses subtab to view a chart of usage by month. The chart displays the number of licenses in active use and the total number of licenses available. Given the difference between the two, it also displays either a “underuse” or “overuse” of licenses.

IMPORTANT: If you have a consistent “underuse” or “overuse” of licenses, work with your account manager to match your usage needs with your available licenses.

  4. Further, click on any month to view a list of users by license type. This helps you determine which users are active in the applications.
