Resources
This exports components by type. For example, you can export all of your amplifiers. You cannot export individual components. Before exporting, there are a few choices to make.
-
First, there are two decisions under Export Options: Dependent Components and Deprecated Resources.
-
If you include Dependent Components, the application automatically checks the dependents if the “parent” is checked. For example, if you check Conditioning Tap, then Cable Equalizer Plugin (CE), Cable Simulator Plugin (CS), High Tap Value Plugin (HT), and Return Path Attenuator Plugin (RA) are automatically checked.
-
If you include Deprecated Resources, the deprecated components are included in the exported Excel table.
-
-
Then, below the Export Options, check the component types you want to include in the Export.
-
You can click the “None” button to clear all selections, then check only the desired components.
-
Regarding sort order, Project Files and Groupings are listed first, followed by spec types listed alphabetically.
-
Always double-check the number of selected to make sure it is what you are expecting.
IMPORTANT: If working with underground structures, you must always export (and import) UndergroundStructure and UndergroundStructureType together.
-
Before clicking Export, you can decide whether to Clear log before export, or not. The log tracks timestamps of the export process and successful completion of export steps. If you choose not to clear, the log continues to grow with each export. If you choose to clear, all previous log entries are deleted and only the most recent log is available.
Once you have made your selections, click Export. You can watch the log track your progress along the right-hand side of the interface. The Excel table opens automatically when the export is complete.
