Electric Device

ElectricDevice is an abstract class represented as a simple junction feature because devices connect to the logical network from a single insertion point. In general, electric devices help ensure consistent service within the distribution network. Electric devices either provide protection, such as fuses or circuit breakers, or regulate electric current such as transformers and voltage regulators.

Description

Comments

text

User or designer comments.

ConstructionStatus

long integer

This field contains a value from the Construction Status domain that indicates the current status of construction on the structure (e.g., proposed, existing, retired).

ElectricTraceWeight

long integer

Used by Feeder Manager to determine device status and other information that affects circuit connectivity. Feeder Manager requires that the MMELECTRICTRACEWEIGHT model name be assigned to this field.

FacilityID

text

Meaningful company-assigned unique identifier of ElectricDevice.

FeederID

text

Feeder Manager identifier assigned to feeders and devices that participate in a specific distribution circuit. Feeder Manager uses the FEEDERID model name in this field.

FeederID2

text

Feeder Manager identifier assigned if device is supplied by second feeder. Feeder Manager uses the FEEDERID2 model name in this field.

FeederInfo

long integer

Feeder Manager-assigned phase information describing the phase of the circuit that supplies a device. Feeder Manager uses the FEEDERINFO model name on this field.

Hyperlink

text

Used to store a hyperlink path via standard Esri hyperlinking functionality.

InstallationDate

date

Date ElectricDevice was installed.

NominalVoltage

long integer

Code indicating system voltage for which ElectricDevice is rated; domain values include 7.2 kV Grounded Y, 24.9 kV Grounded Y, 2400 Delta, 14.4 kV, etc.

TIP: The Nominal Voltage attribute does not apply to the following subclasses of ElectricDevice:
  • OpenPoint

  • MiscNetworkFeature

OperatingVoltage

long integer

Code indicating standard level at which system is currently being operated; may vary above or below nominal voltage; domain values include 4.16 kV Grounded Y, 7.2 kV Grounded Y, 2400 V Delta. Feeder Manager and Electric Tracing use the OPERATINGVOLTAGE model name on this field.

PhaseDesignation

long integer

Code indicating phases supplying a device; domain values include A, AB, AC, etc. Feeder Manager and Electric Tracing require the PHASEDESIGNATION model name on this field.

IMPORTANT: The PhaseDesignation attribute does not apply to the following subclasses: Ground or FaultLimiter.

Subtype

long integer

Code indicating subtype.

SymbolRotation

double

Angle of rotation indicating how a feature appears on the map. Uses the SYMBOLROTATION model name. The ArcFM Manual Angle Setter edit task, ArcFM Auto Angle Setter, Directional Auto Angle Setter, and Endpoint Auto Angle Setter autoupdaters use this field to rotate point features.

WorkOrderID

text

Identifier of work order of ElectricDevice.

ParentCircuitSourceID (optional)

long integer

This field contains a value that identifies the parent circuit source to the electric device. This field is required by Extended Feeder Manager.

CircuitSourceID (optional)

long integer

This field contains the CircuitSourceID value for the electric device. This field is required by Extended Feeder Manager.

SubSource (optional)

short integer

This contains a boolean value that indicates whether the device is considered a subsource. The Yes/No domain is assigned to this field. This field is required by Extended Feeder Manager.
