Overview of the DHFC Environment
The core architecture of DHFC comprises a connected series of applications that work in unison to provide an editing experience outside of ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap. There are five main components:
-
Geodatabase — This holds the geospatial data and is the final system of record for coax features.
-
ArcGIS Server — This is the intermediary application between the geodatabase and the DHFC Client Application that provides DHFC access to the geospatial data.
-
DHFC Catalog Service — This provides the DHFC Client Application required (non-GIS specific) configurations such as specs, groupings, and project files. It is managed in Solution Center.
-
Solution Center DHFC Plugin — This is the configuration hub for components, groupings, project files, and the client application itself.
-
DHFC Client Application — This is the desktop application where the user performs design work.
