Single Phase Motor Application

Description

TeSys Tera system can support the three-phase or single-phase motor.

In starter settings, select the required type of motor as three-phase or single-phase from the parameter setting. Default configuration will be three-phase.

Enabled Functions

In single-phase mode, following functions are enabled:

  • Metering functions:

    • Current measurement: L1 RMS Current, Measured Ground Current

    • Voltage measurement: VL-1N RMS voltages, frequency

    • THD measurement: L1-N Voltage THD, l1 current THD

    • Power and energy measurements: Power factor, Total active power, total reactive power, Total apparent power, Total active energy, Total reactive energy, Total apparent energy.

  • Protection functions:

    • Motor Protection function:

      • Thermal Overload

      • Stall Rotor

      • Locked Rotor

      • Temperature protection

    • Current based protection:

      • Definite Time Overcurrent

      • Normal Inverse Overcurrent

      • Short Time Overcurrent

      • Measured Ground Trip

      • Phase Under Current

    • Voltage based protection:

      • Phase Under voltage

      • Phase Over voltage

    • Power protection function:

      • Under Frequency

      • Over Frequency

Disabled Functions

In single-phase mode, following functions are disabled:

  • Metering functions:

    • Current measurement : L2 and L3 RMS currents, current phase sequence, average current and current imbalance. 

    • Voltage measurement : VL2-L3 and VL3-L1 RMS voltages, voltage phase sequence, average voltage and voltage Imbalance. 

    • Calculated ground current.

    • THD measurement of L2 and L3 current and voltage. 

  • Protection functions:

    • Current based protection:

      • Current Imbalance

      • Current Phase Loss

      • Current Phase Reversal

    • Voltage based protection:

      • Voltage Imbalance

      • Voltage Phase Loss

      • Voltage Phase Reversal

    • Calculated ground trip protections.
