Access Sentinel Key Code

When ordering additional licenses, you need to provide Sentinel key codes for all mobile machines. There are two methods to locate these key codes:

• From the Start menu, select ArcGIS > License Manager > Display Hardware Key Status. A message box similar to the example shown below is displayed. The Sentinel key code is highlighted by the red box in the example below.

  

• On the back of the machine, look for the key code printed on one side of the Sentinel key.

You can install a Sentinel key on a machine that previously accessed a license on a separate license server. In this case, if you need to access the local license (rather than the license server), you must use Desktop Administrator to point to the local license.
