Mapping

The Mapping plugin is where all operational maps are managed. Operational maps include published feature services and reference maps used by XI series applications. After operational maps are configured in the Mapping plugin, they are then available for further configuration in each XI series application’s plugin. In other words, the Mapping plugin is a centralized hub for maps, and they are then consumed by the XI series applications.

In the Mapping plugin, you can:

• Point to a published feature service for consumption by an XI series application.

• Rename a published map.

• Delete a published map.

• Designate which XI series applications are allowed to use a map (the same map can be used by multiple XI series applications).

• Create replicas from operational maps.

• View logs for troubleshooting sync services.

• Configure machine-to-machine authentication.

• Check the access level that a specific user has to an operational map.
