First, use the Topic Name drop-down to filter to the appropriate dead letter messages.


After choosing a Topic Name, further filter the list by choosing the desired Message Handler. The Message Handler drop-down displays a list of subscriptions that are configured for an individual topic.


When you select a message type and handler, the dead letter messages are displayed and sorted descending by the message time.

TIP: For performance reasons, a subset of messages are loaded by default. If the message you are seeking is not a part of the intial subset, click Load More.

Click a message to view more information about it including type, time, ID, and exception details..


After choosing a message, you can perform the following tasks:

  • Expand the Exception Details to view more information.

  • Copy the Dead Letter to your clipboard.

  • Delete Message. This marks the message for deletion, after which it is removed from the list.

  • Re-submit Message. This places the event or command back into the queue with no changes, and it is removed from the list.

New dead letter messages are displayed within 15 minutes of them being generated. Click the Refresh button to update the list.


Email Notifications

Email notifications are configured in User Options > Settings > Email Notifications. For convenience, the Topics and Queues headers provide a quick link to Open Dead Letter Notifications Settings where you can configure your email preferences.
