Create Geodatabase Regions
In Solution Center, you create Geodatabase Regions (GRRs) and schedule how often they update from the geodatabase. Once you create a GRR, it exists until you delete it.
When configuring GRRs, keep these points in mind:
-
GRRs are snapshots of a subnetwork. When you create a GRR, you are capturing the state of a subnetwork at a specific time.
-
The GRRs you create are for the tenant as a whole. They are not per operational map.
-
If there are changes to the features within a subnetwork, those changes are not captured in the GRR until another snapshot is taken. This is why you need to configure Schedule Updates for GRRs.
Follow these steps to create a GRR:
-
In the Feeder Services plugin, on the Mapping tab, select Geodatabase Regions from the menu.
-
Search for and select subnetworks. You can click an individual subnetwork to highlight it or use the Shift and Ctrl keys to select multiple subnetworks.
A list of subnetworks, across all tiers of the Utility Network that do not yet have a GRR created, is provided. You can search by typing in part of the name of the subnetwork. Then, press Enter or click Search. It is a keyword-style search that queries anywhere within the name.
TIP: Dirty subnetworks are filtered out from this view. -
Once they are highlighted, click Save. A notification is provided when the process is complete.
