Special Treatment of Lifecyle Status

A component’s Lifecycle Status is particularly important when the application is integrated with external systems. Using ADMS as an example, the Lifecycle Status notifies ADMS operators about the planned state of assets. The operator can clearly see which assets are in a “planned installed” or “planned uninstalled” state, making it easier to track and approve changes to feeders.

Feeder Services provides a set of default LifecycleStatusType values, but you can add other values you need to track assets within the Geodatabase Region (GRR).

Map the Lifecyle Status Field

To map the Lifecycle Status field in the schema, follow these steps:

  1. In Solution Center > Feeder Services > GIS Schema > Tables, click the desired component that requires the Lifecycle Status.

  2. Click the Add button.

Map the Designer Field “LifecycleStatusType” to the Esri Field “lifecyclestatus.”

  3. Ensure Import is checked.

  4. Uncheck Push to GIS, if necessary.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Repeat for other components.

The Lifecycle Status field requires a Coded Value Domain to properly map the description of the field to a target string value. Refer to the Coded Value Domains topic for more information.
