View the Underlying JSON File for GRRs
As described in a previous topic, you can view the high-level attributes for existing Geodatabase Resource Regions (GRRs) using the interfaces in the Geodatabase Regions tab.
To view the underlying JSON code for a GRR:
-
In Solution Center, click Feeder Services > Mapping > Geodatabase Regions.
-
On the left side, click the desired GRR once to highlight it in green.
NOTE: You can use the Search field at the top of Solution Center to search for a GRR by its subnetwork name. -
At the end of the GRR Storage ID field, click Download file to start a download of the underlying JSON file.
The file downloads automatically into the Downloads folder of the Windows machine that is running Solution Center. The filename defaults to the name of the subnetwork, but any illegal filename characters are replaced with underscores.
-
Once the download is complete, click Show in folder to open File Explorer for the newly downloaded file.
-
Open the file in a text editor, such as Notepad ++.
NOTE: The underlying JSON for low voltage (LV) subnetworks that are part of a group is formatted differently, since all LV subnetworks will be contained in the same JSON file. The downloaded file contains the Group GRR’s underlying JSON file. The Group GRR’s underlying JSON file can also be directly downloaded when viewing those Group GRRs from the Geodatabase Region Groups drop-down menu.
