Lubrication Instructions

NOTICE
HAZARD OF INAPPROPRIATE MAINTENANCE
The bearings and joints must not be washed out by the cleaning agent and following elements must not be lubricated:
  • Motor
  • Ball bearings
  • Auxiliary releases
  • Push switches
  • Blocking coils
  • Auxiliary switches
Only approved lubricants may be used. Refer to Auxiliary Products.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage.

Sliding contact surfaces

Apply a thin and uniform film of lubricant.

All accessible friction points and sliding surfaces

Clean lubrication points with lint free cotton cloth; apply a thin film of lubricant (for example, using a paintbrush).

Bearing and joints

Liquid lubricant

Pour drops of liquid lubricant (oil can, drip feed lubricator) into the bearing gap. Liquid lubricant gets between the bearing surfaces due to the capillary effect. In case of inaccessible lubrication points, use an extension tube or spray.

Once maintenance work is complete:

  1. Remove all the tools and auxiliary equipment used.

  2. Re-insert truck into the panel. Refer to Insertion of the Truck into the Cubicle.

  3. Reposition covers, close doors and check switching functions. Refer to Commissioning .

Preparation:

  1. Remove the truck from the panel.

  2. Clean lubrication points using a lint-free cloth.

    NOTE: Use cleaning agent in case of serious contamination.
